Celebrate the arrival of Jesus as a baby in one of our three Christmas Eve services. The service will include traditional and modern Christmas music, a short message, and a candlelight element. Nursery will be available during all services; preschool-3rd grade will be available at 3:30 and 5:00 PM. ASL interpretation will be at 5:00 PM.
Join us as kids preschool-5th grade take over our services! They’ll be sharing the love and hope of Jesus through songs and scripture. There will be no regular NorthPoint Kids classes this day. Prior signup to participate is required. All children who are not on stage will need to sit with their parents.
Stay following each of our Christmas Eve Services and join us for treats and hot chocolate in the Commons area. We’ll also have photo booths available to get the “perfect” holiday picture with your friends and family!
We’re excited to launch this year’s Give Initiative and make an impact in God’s kingdom, both locally and globally.
What is the Give Initiative?
It’s a time when we ask the people of NorthPoint to slow down, invest in others, and consider giving generously in ways that will transform lives here and around the world. Since it was launched in 2016, the Give Initiative has raised nearly $1 Million. This year, we’re focusing two big initiatives:
global
Help us raise $15,000 - $20,000. We’ll help repair a vehicle for one of our mission partners and also donate to the Medical Ambassadors Foundation in Albania. This organization is adding and training team members who will focus on healing broken communities, transforming lives, and creating disciples in mainly Islamic areas.
Local
Help us raise $55,000 to support local partners. These include the Johnston Partnership, Urbandale Food Pantry, Agape Pregnancy Center, and Grimes Storehouse. Families are being changed in Central Iowa because of your generosity to the Give Initiative! Click below to hear how your donations are helping fathers step up to lead.
We believe God has blessed us, so we are able to bless others in return. If you’d like to donate to this year’s Give Initiative, click below.
The world around us is bustling with activity in advance of Christmas, and you no doubt have items to cross off your list, too. But we encourage you to slow down and savor what this season is all about. Let’s prepare for the coming of Jesus together. Each day through Christmas, we will bring you an Advent devotional, meant to help you look to Jesus in this busy season. We hope you’ll spend time each day meditating on Scripture, reflecting on the questions, and praying to our Heavenly Father.
