David and Gabby have been attending NorthPoint since 2022. They enjoy trying new restaurants, playing disc golf, and spending time with their daughter, Elaina, and dog, Missy. They are excited to build community with other young couples. Kara and Joel have been attending NorthPoint since 2021. They enjoy cooking (usually with a lot of spice), gaming, and learning basic construction with every new house project. They are excited to walk in community with other young adult couples and guide them in strengthening their faith. Our group seeks to connect young adult couples and grow in our relationships with Jesus together. Men and women will meet on alternating weeks and as a full group monthly. This format lends itself to couples with young kids, but it is not necessary to have kids to find a place in our group.

Our community group is co-led with Mel and Jan. We meet in our home in northwest Urbandale, normally on the first and third Sundays of each month from 2 to 4 PM. We share prayer requests, discuss the sermon and share our lives. On any fifth Sunday we play games, maybe miniature golf or even help at Meals of the Heartland. We are all retired.

Ben and Beth have been attending NorthPoint since 2021 with their kids- Ella (3) and Drake (1.5). Ben is an outside sales with Rion Equipment and Beth is a program director with Apartment Life. They enjoy being outside, staying active and hosting friends and family. They look forward to walking alongside young married couples and families as they grow in relationship with each other and in their faith.

Kailen and Anne live in Polk City with their 6 and 9 year old children. Kailen joined NorthPoint staff in 2020 and serves in events and inventory. Anne works from home as editor and co- owner of Midwestern Books. They both enjoy crafting, gardening, walks with their dogs and taking their kids to the library. They have extensive experience with topics relating to mental illness and neurodivergence. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Sunday's @ 4-6 pm and consists of singles and families in their 30's-40's.

Gary and Shannon Jepsen have been attending North Point since 2005. Gary is a Domain Architect at Corteva Agrisciences and Shannon is HR Director at the National Pork Board. They have 3 daughters, ages 21, 18 and 16. They enjoy traveling, fishing, attending Iowa State sporting events and their kid's activities. During their time at North Point, Gary and Shannon have been actively involved serving in various ministries as well as leading a community group. Through their community groups, they have valued doing life together with others that are in a similar stage of life. Currently our group meets one Sunday a month after church for lunch and then one Sunday a month at someone's house.

Dave and Julie have four adult children and nine grandchildren. Dave loves to spend his free time golfing, running and playing with his grandchildren. Dave is an actuary (he actually enjoys doing math) and an author. Julie's interests are home improvement, gardening, friends, books and kids. Dave and Julie value genuine relationships and studying God's Word together in community.

Jeff and Marci were married in 1990, became members of NorthPoint in 2000. They have served full time with Cru (college ministry) since 1991 in many capacities and locations and love to make the life of Jesus more clear to any and all settings and cultures. The LORD has blessed them with 10 children and 6 grandchildren (so far). Jeff relaxes with pushups, strengthens himself with rich conversations while sipping on dark roast coffee and pointing people to Scripture. Marci is refreshed with books, walks with Jeff and relaxing with her children and grandchildren.

Brad and Kristi have been attending NorthPoint Church since 1995. Brad works at NorthPoint serving as the Groups Lead. Brad and Kristi retired in 2023 from the pest control business that they started in 1985. They enjoy spending time with grandkids, swimming in their backyard pool, cooking delicious pizzas in their outdoor wood fired pizza oven and meeting new people. They are laidback, love to laugh, and highly value church community.

Bryan and Susie have been attending NorthPoint for nearly 25 years. Both work part-time as consultants, and they enjoy the opportunity to meet people who are "newer to NorthPoint." They are grace receivers and grace givers. Their group consists of young adults in their 20's and 30's - both singles and marrieds - and they meet for a meal at the Stearns home in Urbandale on Wednesday evenings. Bryan and Susie love spending time with family, travel and volunteering where the Spirit leads. They are flexible and value that same quality in others.
